Granddaughters love these dollsThis doll was a birthday present for my 5 year old daughter. The doll lasted 6 months before she broke the leg off trying to get a pair of boots on the doll. Doesn't stand up to the play of a 5 year old.UPDATE: I contacted American Girl doll and was told that the legs and arms breaking off the Wellie Wishers dolls is a known manufacturing defect. American Girl doll is sending me a replacement doll - no charge. I encourage all who have had this problem to contact American Girl doll directly.SECOND UPDATE: The leg on the replacement Emerson doll broke in exactly the same spot 4-5 months later. Called American Girl Doll again and they will again replace it at no charge. However, the doll is backordered until June 25, 2021. Customer service assured me that this has been fixed, but I'm not convinced. If this one breaks, we are done with Wellie Wishers and will move on to the regular 18" American Girl doll.First off, I ordered this at a date that I thought was too late to receive by Christmas. I accepted that and ordered anyway. The seller was superhuman in getting this to me on December 24! I am forever grateful! Best seller on Amazon!!My granddaughter loves this doll. She is the only grandchild so her Christmas Day is filled with endless gift opening. When she opened her Emerson doll no other gift mattered. Hands down her favorite! A win for her, a win for me :)almost 3 years and now the leg breaks off. they should be able to do something about this. My great granddaughter has others ones from American girl dolls that has held up much better then this.This doll is small but just the right size for a 4 year old to carry around and love.My daughter has treated this doll like it is the most precious thing since getting it and was extremely upset today when trying to put shoes on the dolls feet when suddenly the right leg completely fell off. 2 pieces of broken plastic sandwiched under the 'T' of the hip joint. I have contact American Girl Doll, but it appears they have setup a Doll Hospital, where it will 'only' cost me $44 + shipping both to & back from their facility to get the doll repaired.Going to see if Amazon will do anything. Will update.7 year old loved this doll and got one for the 4 year old. Kept them busy for hours.My granddaughter is seven - the perfect age for playing with Emerson and changing her outfits. I was surprised when she requested it as she tends to want crafting kits, sewing supplies, knitting yarns, any thing for making art and I have always felt a doll was pretty passive. But she is a great little mother to her new doll. Or maybe big sister - I don’t really know their relationship!The doll looks pretty, but my daughter 5-years-old broke its right leg after a few times play with it. This happened 1 month ago. I bought it 2 months before Christmas and we gave to her on Christmas. Now, I am wondering if this doll was a factory defective product or if it is a poor quality doll product. Even, it got broken with a sharp and little piece from the main body. I am from Europe and I grow up with a lot of dolls due that in my home we were 3 girls and we never had this issue before. Usually, dolls are very resistant even if a child takes off one of their legs because children are the final customer. Definitivamente muy mala calidad.I bought this for a birthday gift and my daughter who really wanted an American Doll Girl just loves this doll.I bought this doll for my granddaughter for Christmas it’s supposed to be a 18 inch American girl doll it’s more like a 12inch little doll and I had the clothes for 18 inch doll which was way too big for the little doll that I recivied ,it was so disappointing ,definitely not worth the money I paid for itTrès jolie poupée.
